Following your initial consultation, your doctor will assess your suitability for advanced treatment and where appropriate, establish your treatment plan. Once treatment begins, the programme provides ongoing clinical reviews, monitoring and support throughout your treatment journey. Your care is reviewed regularly and adjusted when needed.

Advanced treatment is not suitable for everyone. It may be considered for adults with persistent, moderate to severe or treatment resistant acne, particularly where acne is causing significant inflammation, scarring or impact on quality of life. Your suitability is assessed individually during your initial consultation, taking into account your acne, medical history, previous treatments and individual circumstances.

Once treatment begins, your progress is reviewed regularly throughout your treatment journey. Your clinical reviews assess how your skin is responding, whether your treatment needs adjusting and whether you are experiencing any side effects or concerns.
