Online Acne Clinic Ireland
Online Acne Clinic Ireland
An online acne clinic lets you get proper medical acne care from home, without a referral, a commute, or a long wait for an appointment. If you have spent years managing your skin alone with products from the pharmacy shelf, having a doctor actually look at what is going on can be a turning point.
What is an online acne clinic?
It is a medical service, run by a doctor, that assesses and manages acne remotely. You are seen properly, over a secure video assessment, by a clinician who focuses on acne, rather than fitting your skin into a rushed general appointment. ClearDerm is led by Dr Tara Treacy, a GP with a special interest in dermatology, and cares for adults across the Republic of Ireland.
How does it work?
You begin by booking your consultation online through ClearDerm followed by completing a detailed questionnaire and uploading clear photographs of your skin taken in natural light, so your clinician can understand your history before you speak.
You then have an unhurried assessment where the severity and drivers of your acne are looked at properly, and you agree a plan together. Rather than one off appointments, care continues as an ongoing plan, so someone is following your progress and adjusting as your skin responds.
Who is it for?
ClearDerm cares for adults aged 18 and over who are resident in the Republic of Ireland, dealing with anything from persistent hormonal breakouts to cystic, body or scarring prone acne. It is designed for people who want continuity and clinical depth, not another product to try.
Why choose online over an in person clinic?
Access is the main reason. Dermatology waiting lists in Ireland are long, and private clinics can be costly and hard to reach, particularly outside the cities. Online care removes geography as a barrier and gives you time with a clinician who treats acne day in and day out.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. This is a direct access service, so you can arrange an assessment yourself.
Is online acne care as thorough as in person?
The assessment is longer and more focused than a standard appointment, and continuity of care means your progress is followed over time rather than in isolated visits.
Who can use the service?
